**Full Disclosure: Grub Burger Bar provided meals for my family and I in exchange for our review. No compensation was received. All opinions are my own.
When I was in Houston for a blog conference last September, I couldn’t get enough Grub Burger Bar. I enjoyed their delicious food twice while I was there. Since then, I’ve had dreams about those amazing burgers! As soon as my husband and I started talking about taking a trip to Houston, I knew we had to make a stop at Grub.
My kids were starving by the time we pulled into the parking lot (you know, because they didn’t eat breakfast or snacks during our three hour drive). Be prepared to pay for parking. I think we paid $3. Grub Burger Bar is located upstairs, so we hiked the two flights of stairs.
At about 1pm, there was no wait. I’m going to say we were probably lucky!
My husband ordered the Texas Luau with onion rings:
And BOY did those jalapenos make him sweat!! He said the pineapple and pulled pork were perfect on the burger. The hubs thought the sauce wasn’t quite right, but it was still edible.
James and Colin ordered the burger and chicken, receptively, from the Munchkins menu. And I ordered the Lockhart Legend:
I had to take one of those onion rings off my burger so that it would fit in my mouth. I still had to smush it down before I could eat it, but it was just as delicious as I remember!
I also ordered the Dirt & Worms Milkshake for the four of us to share.
All Grub Burger Bar milkshakes are hand-spun – and so appetizing!
My only regret is that I didn’t have my DSLR camera with me because these phone photos don’t do Grub’s food any justice!
Grub bakes their buns from scratch every hour, all of their burgers are made with certified Angus chuck & brisket – ground in house daily, and their sauces & dressings are homemade. If you are ever in driving distance to a Grub Burger Bar, stop in for a bite! I don’t think you’ll be sorry!
Which Grub Burger would you enjoy first?
Now, if only I could talk them into opening a San Antonio location …

The food looks super delicious. I don’t think I will ever be close enough to a Grub but if so I would love to try it.
