The teachers at my son’s school continually go above and beyond. I couldn’t be more grateful for those amazing ladies (and gentlemen)! With the holidays approaching, I wanted to do something special for each one of them. There are approximately 90 faculty & staff so I’d need something inexpensive to surprise everyone. Extra® Spearmint Gum (15 Stick Slim Pack) & Extra® Peppermint Gum Extra® Polar Ice Gum (15 Stick Slim Pack) were just the thing! I’ve made about 30 of these Snowman Thank You Notes so far but they are perfect for saying thank you.
Dollar General had everything I needed for Snowman Thank You Notes. I picked up Extra® Spearmint Gum, Extra® Peppermint Gum Extra® Polar Ice Gum and Doublemint® and all the other items on my supplies list.
You’ll Need:
- Extra® Spearmint Gum (15 Stick Slim Pack), Extra® Peppermint Gum Extra® Polar Ice Gum (15 Stick Slim Pack) or Doublemint® (15 Stick Pack)
- Black Card Stock – cut into 3 inch by 7 inch strips
- White Stamp Pad
- Permanent Markers – black, silver, orange, etc.
- Tape
Instructions:
- Cut 3 inch strips from the card stock. (I bought the 12×12 paper so I had to trim them to fit the gum package.)
- Put a small piece of tape on a card stock strip and place it in the middle of a pack of gum.
- Write a thank you note on the inside of the paper. (This is completely optional!)
- Roll the strip of paper around the gum and tape it on the other side.
- Using your white ink pad, dip your thumb into the in, stamp it on the paper.
- Repeat using your middle and pinkie fingers.
- Allow to dry at least 10 minutes.
- Write your favorite holiday saying at the top of the paper so as not to interfere with the snowman.
- Draw eyes, nose, buttons and snow on your snowman.
- Gift away!!
I’ve put the completed Snowman Thank You Notes in the teachers’ boxes (making sure to check them off my list as I go so I don’t duplicate). I’ve been in the office to see their faces and the joy they’ve expressed over a little Extra® thank you was just the thing I was going for!
Of course, you don’t have to give Snowman Thank You Notes. You could make these without the thank you note and use them as stocking stuffers or secret Santa gifts, too!

How adorable! I totally want to make some with my kids. My little guy is SO into arts and crafts right now – he would love making these.

Such a cute gift/craft idea. We just made palm print snowmen just the other day to hang on our walls. We should have made these while we had to paint out! But I like the idea of using a stamp pad. That makes it easy. #client
