When I met my husband, he was in the Army. His face (and his head) were always clean-shaven and incredibly smooth. I LOVED it! His secret? Gillette razors.
It’s been 10 years since his Army days and now he usually wears a goatee. I don’t mind it but about once every six months I ask him to shave it off. It’s been awhile since I’ve made that request and I love the memories I have of his smooth face so I headed to Walmart and bought him the new Gillette Flexball Razor.
There were so many options for a new razor – manual, powered, black, silver – but I decided on the SilverTouch Gillette Fusion Proglide Flexball.
When I got home, I gave my husband the Gillette razor and refills. I asked him if he would please shave his goatee off. He doesn’t always oblige and he didn’t really want to but he did because he loves me! {Awww!}

Our friends’ reactions were priceless! There was a lot of shock and awe. He was told he was ‘bald all over’, had such a ‘baby face’ and ‘looked 10 years younger’. But the later was my goal – so I guess it worked!
The hubs’ thoughts?
I am not a morning person and shaving takes too long in my morning routine which is why I don’t shave regularly. Now that I’ve had a goatee for so long, it unnatural not to have it. Gillette razors are my favorite razors. I’ve been using them for 12-15 years and the Flexball razor is the easiest to use.
It’s been a little over a week now and the goatee is mostly back. I enjoyed his smooth face while it lasted.

I haven’t tried this latest razor but I’m anxious too…I mean, umm, my husband is. lol

I saw the motorized display for the Flexball Razor at Walgreens last week. It was pretty darn cool how the head pivots so smoothly at so many angles!! #client
My husband hasn’t tried the Flexball yet, but I’m sure he would love to use one. He wears a beard most of the time, but still has maintenance to do.
What a sport he was to shave it off with the razor. It did a nice clean job!
What a handsome fellow you’ve married! I love his smooth look! My husband has been using Gillette since before I knew him… We’ve been married 22 years and that is the only brand I have ever seen him use. These days his razor seems to disappear every now and then because it seems he’s not the only one who loves it 😉 I’ve not seen the flexball but I’m sure we — uh… he would love it !!
I haven’t seen the Flexball in the store yet, but I’ll have to take a look for one for my husband.

We are big fans of Gillette around here! My husband and daughter both use this brand because it gives her a closer shave!

I started using Gillette razors years ago for my legs. I won’t switch to any other brand.
I have never seen my husband with a smooth face and we have been together over 20 years now. He has always sported a goatee. I told him it’s scary when I think about him shaving it off, so he never has. He has so many razors, I have no idea how he keeps track of them all.
Wow, he looks so different with a clean shave! I love a clean shaved man too. 🙂
