Preparing your vehicle for winter is pretty easy. There are certain things you need to do to in order to keep your car in tip-top shape during colder months. But what about for the warmer months? The only thing I remember to do at the start of spring is taking care of my vehicle registration and inspection.
Here are a few tips on how to get your vehicle ready for spring:
- Wait until winter is officially over. You definitely don’t want to remove the winterization from your vehicle only to have it freeze/ice again!
- Give the exterior of your vehicle a good bath. Be sure to wash the undercarriage as well.
- Take your car to a mechanic for a spring check-up which will likely include:
- Checking the tire pressure
- Checking the brakes (pads & rotors)
- Checking the alignment & suspension
- Topping off fluids
- Replace the wiper blades & test the battery on your vehicle.
- Update your car safety kit. Make sure everything is in working order & any food you have in the kit is not expired.
- Take your car out for a nice long drive while you enjoy the flowers and scenery!
While preparing your car for spring isn’t nearly as intense as getting it ready for summer or winter, the services your car receives are vital to its well-being.
