My husband and I attended the ‘An Envy Apple a Day’ Central Market cooking class last week and it was such a blast! There were three chefs leading the class but each had a different role. We learned about the wine pairings before moving into the first course – breakfast. Each course was served to class participants as we watched a demonstration on how to prepare each dish. Our chefs were well-equipped with plenty of tips and tricks. For example, did you know that it takes Envy Apples approximately 10 hours to start browning?

Everything You Need to Know About Central Market Cooking Classes
What Should You Expect from the Class – There are two different types of classes – Demonstration and Hands-On. Depending on the class you sign up for, your expectations should be a little different. For a demonstration class, you’ll sign in, pick a seat and settle in. The dishes will be brought to you while you watch as the food is made and listen as tips are shared. At a hands-on class, you’ll sign in before heading in to the classroom. Then you’ll spend the evening learning to prepare delicious menu items and eat as you move through the night. Each class is fairly low-key and the chefs welcome your questions.
Who are the Classes For – Everyone! Most classes, though, are for people 16 and up. The calendar specifies how old you must be to attend.
How Much do the Central Market Cooking Classes Cost – Classes range from $30 – $80, depending on the menu. (Couples classes start at $140.)
Why Should You Attend a Cooking Class – So many reasons! Some of which include the amazing food you’ll eat and the tips & tricks you’ll learn from professional chefs.
When are the Classes – There are classes almost every day of each month. Most Central Market cooking classes are held at 6:30 p.m. but occasionally there is a 12:30 p.m. class. Allow a minimum of 2 hours for each class.
As the name suggests, the An Envy Apple a Day class focused on Envy Apples so each of the five dishes contained the apples. The menu was: Envy Apple & Blueberry Baked Oatmeal | Envy Apple, Arugula, Fennel & Roasted Walnut Salad | Butternut Squash & Envy Apple Soup with Sage | Sheet Pan Roasted, Fennel-crusted Pork Loin with Envy Apples & Onions | Roasted Envy Apple & Pear Compote with Candied Ginger. Everything was incredible!!

I have been to 3 of them, including this one as a part of the blogger event! So fun, and I can’t wait to take advantage of the kids classes too – they have parent/child classes, especially around the holidays!

I don’t know if I could talk the boys into doing those with me but I am sure going to try!
