My 6 month old son was sent the Evenflo Bebek Trainer Cup to test. Here are my thoughts.
First impression:
Pros:
I love that this cup comes with a cap/lid and a sturdy one at that. The color is bright, so it should be easy to spot in a mess of items. I like the shape and length of the mouthpiece. Should make it easier to transition from bottle to sippy. LOVE the 3 handles so kiddo can hold it at any angle and not get mad.
Cons:
I am disappointed with the size. Kiddo likes to eat 6-8 oz at a time, so I can’t just dump his bottle in and go. The slit in the valve piece seems very small, hopefully my lazy kid will be willing to suck to use it.
After Using:
Pros:
Easy for kiddo to hold. No matter what direction he grabs it he can handle it and use it. Also, EASY to clean. Love that it comes apart so easily and into 3 pieces. Also love that it is dishwasher safe. Also, I love that it does not leak!
Cons:
Kiddo does not like this cup at all. He prefers to bite the mouthpiece to get his beverage. This doesn’t work in this sippy cup. He must suck on it. I tried making the valve hole larger for him, this still did not appease him and he often would just get frustrated and give up.
OVERALL:
I am not a fan of this cup. As a transitioning cup I feel mouthpiece manipulation and not sucking should be the means to get the beverage. The amount of time trying to use this cup and make it work for my infant was not worth it. I will not be purchasing or recommending this cup.
What do you think? Would you try the Bebek? If you already have, do you like it?
Buy it: Evenflo products may be purchased online at www.evenflo.com or at mass retail stores including Target, Walmart, Babies R Us and Amazon.

I see how this kind of defeats the purpose of a transition cup. Perhaps this would work better for even younger children. Very nice that it doesn’t leak though. When my daughter was small, we got these disposable (well, you could put them in the dishwasher and stuff) and they were the best sippy cups ever!

I am so glad we are out of the sippy cup phase. Now, I give C the acrylic cups with the straw and lid. They work perfectly!

My sons would always bite covers like this to get the drink or just to bite it for feel good habit on their teeth. I have not tried this particular brand but we are out of sippy cup phase, except the youngest who only uses it for his bedtime drink cup at his bed side.
