**Full Disclosure: I will receive 4 passes to visit Enchanted Springs Ranch in exchange for this post. No other compensation was received. All opinions are my own.
I love to learn and play – so when I can combine them, it makes for the perfect day (at least in my book!). I can’t wait to head out and visit Enchanted Springs Ranch!
Enchanted Springs Ranch is an 86 acre ranch, where the buffalo roam. Seriously! The ranch is the home to a herd of buffalo, longhorn cattle and many exotic animals. You will be able to see these great creatures when you board the tractor wagon ride and are taken on a guided tour. But first, when you arrive at the ranch, you’ll drive up to the entrance of an 1800’s old west cow town. A true replica of what a Texas old west town would have been like back in the day of cowboys/cowgirls and cattle drives. You’ll find everything there; a trading post, saloons (there are two!), a hotel, jail etc. You can take a self-guided tour and lots of fun photo opportunities are available. The old west town and ranch was originally used for on location filming of movies and video. It is still a sought after location and when you visit, ask any of the staff to tell you about some of the famous entertainers and performers who have been filmed at the ranch. For entertainment, a puppet show is available for the younger ones and children can sit on Woodrow the Longhorn and get their picture taken. Doc Dakota will perform his medicine show where you can join in for the rain dance. A Wild West show, featuring Pistol Packin’ Paula, is a family hit! Paula is a two time world champion gun twirler and only female who has won this title! Paula’s message for children inspires them to follow their dreams.
Enchanted Springs Ranch is one of the best event venue locations in the San Antonio area. When you have your event at Enchanted Springs Ranch, you get more than a room, you get a whole town! Event possibilities are endless from small birthday parties to large company picnics, team building, and weddings/receptions. Ray Benson (Asleep at the Wheel) with Pistol Packin’ Paula, Vicki & Steve Schmidt (Cowboy Steve) at the Asleep at the Wheel concert held at Enchanted Springs Ranch, April 2013.
