I have been trying to snack healthier. It’s so much harder than it seems! Sure, it’s easy to snack on fruit and veggies, but I wanted something as easy as popcorn without the “extra” you get in the bag.
The other day I came across this popcorn recipe on Pinterest and wanted to see if it was REALLY as easy as they claimed.
IT IS!
Here’s how!
Place 1/4 cup of your popcorn kernels in your large, microwaveable bowl.
Cover the bowl with your large, microwaveable plate. Put the plate-covered-bowl in the microwave.
Hit the popcorn button on your microwave (or set it for about 2.5 minutes). Note: I had to hit the button twice because the first time it only popped about 4 kernels.
Remove the bowl AND plate – but make sure you use your oven mitts as it is VERY, VERY hot!
Uncover (add your Mrs. Dash if you want) and ENJOY!
Oh, and if you have leftover kernels, you can recover your bowl and cook them again! (Isn’t that cool?!)

So cool that it works so easily. I have a sinful recipe I want to share for some yummy popcorn. Maybe after our challenge.

What, I had no idea. My mom had one of those huge popcorn makers that sounded like a yard blower. So doing this.

I’ve been looking for an alternative to microwave popcorn…I think I’m going to try finding a good kettle to use on top of the stove.
