**Full Disclosure: I test-drove the 2016 Volvo XC60 for review purposes thanks to Drive Shop. No compensation was received & all opinions are my own.
I wasn’t home when the Volvo XC60 was delivered. When I arrived home, I was awed by its beauty. I ran inside to retrieve the keys and immediately hopped in! I was wowed by the wooden console.
Driving the Volvo XC60 was an all new experience as I’ve never been in a Volvo before. When I first saw the vehicle, I thought it was stunning! Then I took it for a drive around the block. Not only does it drive well but it’s comfortable, too! It didn’t take long for me to fall in love with the XC60!
I had a great time driving the Volvo XC60 around San Antonio. My family and I visited our usual places, Target, HEB, church and Grandma’s house.
But we also took the Volvo to the Coleman tent sale, Bucee’s and Bakery Lorraine.
Several people even told me what a beautiful car I had!
After driving the Volvo XC60 for a week, I didn’t want to give it back!
What I Liked:
- A/C vents in the backseat – it’s not something I see in many vehicles, I’m glad to see Volvo thought about the backseat!
- I didn’t use the seat heaters but I like that they are deliberately built into another knob so as to make the console even more beautiful.
- I didn’t have to take the key fob out of my purse. I could lock, unlock and start the car with the touch of a button.
- Basically everything!
What I’d Change:
- I’d like the cruise control to be a little more user friendly. I found it difficult to figure out but once I got it, it was easy.
- The driver’s seat edges were a little too high. I know it’s nit-picky but I couldn’t just slide off the seat. I felt like I was ruining the seat each time I climbed out of the car.
