Have you ever received a bad gift?
I have received a few bad gifts and given plenty of them, as well!
It was Christmas-time and I was pregnant with James. My mom & sister thought it would be a great idea to buy maternity clothes for my gifts that year. They were wrong. The one piece I remember most vividly is this awful khaki-colored sweater. I wish I still had it to photograph – but a similar sweater is pictured below. (I don’t think the sweater below is awful – it’s just not my style.) It was bulky (like I wanted more BULK at that point?!), had a belt as long as I am tall and the color blended in with my skin-tone. I had complained about having nothing to wear, so really, this was my fault. Lesson learned.
Most recently, I gave my husband a pull-over sweater that was two sizes too big. Dumb, right? I know what size he wears, so why in the world would I buy something too large?
The thing is, though, it’s not necessary to be a bad gift giver. PickURGift makes it easy to give fantastic gifts because your recipient has already picked what they want!
The wish list makes it easy to show your friends and family members what you actually want to receive! Brilliant, isn’t it?!
PickURGift is a tool my family and I will be using from now on! What about you?

I hate Christmas and my birthday because I never ever get gifts that even remotely reflect me and usually just ask for money. Sad but true. I love the idea of picking your own gift, like a registry but I can play online at home 🙂

I love this idea. I have had unwanted gifts lie in my closet for years without doing anything with them. I would love to pick out some of my own gifts!

LOL what a funny story! Worst gift I ever received was an awful appliqued sweat shirt with bows sewn on it.Hideous doesn’t begin to describe how ugly it was.

I’ve received many bad gifts. One was a sweater from my MIL for Christmas. I’m sure Ernie was missing it.

I threw away a coffee mug that had my name on it, and at christmas my grandmother gave it to me(she got it out of my trash!)

My sister gave me a little plastic reindeer for Christmas which..well, pooped chocolate candy and still had the $1 pricetag attached..

When I was an older teenager my Aunt once gave me a huge box filled with plastic hats and dress up clothes. Trust me – 15 year old girls don’t exactly enjoy plastic sombreros and such…

I wouldn’t think so!

I got a gift one year that I didn’t really need or want and I ended up re-gifting it.
