Have you ever had one of those days – where you know what’s on the meal plan but are in no mood to cook it? I have – it happens at least once a week in our house.
Luckily for me, Barber Foods asked if my family and I would review a few of their products. I was sent three varieties of their stuffed chicken breasts: Kiev, Cordon Bleu and Broccoli & Cheese. H-E-B, our local grocery store, used to carry Barber Foods Stuffed Chicken Breasts but no longer does. The thing I like about H-E-B is that they are willing to bring in items you ask for so I will be reaching out, via their contact us form, and asking for them to bring back the Barber Foods Stuffed Chicken Breasts!
It’s so easy to take the stuffed chicken out of their package and throw them in the oven for 30-ish minutes. While they are cooking you can cook your veggies and noodles (of whatever sides you want to make). Barber Foods helps take hectic days down a notch!
About Barber Foods:
Because Barber Foods was founded as a true family-owned business, attention to quality, respect for others, and care for the environment aren’t just company policy – they’re part of who we are.
Our Thoughts on the Stuffed Chicken Breasts:
- All of the stuffed chicken flavors were juicy and easy to cook.
- You really should have a meat thermometer on hand to make sure the chicken reaches the correct temperature. Because the meat is raw (not pre-cooked), you could make someone sick if it isn’t cooked correctly.
- Kiev: The Chicken Kiev was our absolute favorite. The boys SCARFED it down! I gave them each 1/2 a piece to start with, and they both asked for more! My husband and I talked the boys into eating more veggies before we gave them more chicken.
- Cordon Bleu: The Chicken Cordon Bleu was pretty good. The boys liked that there was ham inside the chicken! They asked for seconds, but didn’t eat it nearly as quickly as they did the Kiev.
- Broccoli & Cheese: The Broccoli & Cheese Stuffed Chicken was our least favorite. My boys hardly touched it. I hate to admit this, but I pulled the broccoli and cheese mixture out of the middle and just ate the chicken.
- I would love to try the Creme Brie & Apple – it sounds fantastic!
You can purchase your Barber Foods products at your local grocery store in the frozen foods section. (If you are in San Antonio, HEB carries them!!!) Check out the list of stores that carry stuffed chicken breasts.
