I grew up shooting a Daisy BB Gun. My dad was a hunter and I spent many of my childhood weekends at our deer lease. Those weekends often included shooting at cactus blooms or soda cans. Now that I have my own family, we do much the same thing. But as a mom of boys, I find it difficult to come up with great gifts for boys. (We do a hunting season gift at the beginning of November.) The Daisy BB Gun is a great choice because it provides hours of family-friendly fun. I recently picked up the Red Ryder BB gun, Daisy protective goggles and BB gun ammunition at my local Academy store.
A few days after we purchased our Daisy products, we headed out to the deer lease for a day of fun. James and the hubs opened up the gear, put on their protective goggles, put up the targets I’d made, loaded the BB gun and had a blast!

Daisy’s educational curriculum has been around since 1948. They educate through partnerships with leading conservation and youth training organizations such as National Wild Turkey’s JAKES Take Aim, 4-H National Shooting Sports, Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation, Royal Rangers, Youth Shooting Sports Alliance, Civilian Marksmanship, NRA, JROTC units, scouting, fish and game as well as church and private camps. Daisy educates roughly one million of America’s youth a year through their Ten Lesson Shooting Curriculum about BB gun use and safety (found here).
My husband and I firmly believe that gun safety starts early. At 10, our oldest son is getting in some great time bonding time with his dad and learning gun safety – all with the Daisy BB Gun!
