My kids love the idea of bathrobes but often outgrow them before they get much use. I can see why, though. I mean, we live in South Texas and most of the bathrobes you can find here are made of VERY warm materials. CottonAge.com sent us the Waffle Hooded Kid’s Bathrobe for review and suddenly my boys were fighting over who got to wear the robe because it wasn’t too warm to wear!
When the box came, I immediately knew what it was because it’s clearly marked with the CottonAge.com logo! The kids and I tore into it and Colin wanted to put it on right away. (I was sent a large which REALLY doesn’t fit Colin but at least the boys can share and he will eventually grow into it.) I snapped a picture of Colin and then had him throw it in the washing machine. The next night was bath night so when Colin got out of the bath, we slathered him with lotion and put the robe on. It absorbed the water really well! Two days later it was bath night again, but this time it was James’ turn. He really liked the bathrobe. It fits him nicely, with a little room to grown.
What We Love:
- I love the way the bathrobe is folded in the plastic package! It was so neat and I didn’t want to undo it!
- My kids LOVE the hood! They are boys and don’t have much hair, but the hood made the robe a hit for both of them.
- I love that the bathrobe is light-weight. I think my boys do too since they fight over who gets to wear it.
- It absorbs water without feeling weighted down.
- I like that the robes come in sizes that will grow with them. I like to get my money’s worth out of things, and I can see that happening with these robes!
What We’d Change:
- I’d love to see the robe come in other colors.
- I didn’t see a Hooded Waffle Robe in adult sizes! (I want one!!)
I tried to shrink the hooded robe by drying it (twice!) and didn’t notice any difference.
