When I turned 16 my parents bought me a red Honda Civic. It was fairly inexpensive (maybe $4,000) and was a pretty decent car. It got me from one place to another without any trouble. My parents carried and paid for the insurance on my car. I don’t think they compared auto insurance before they added me to their policy.
At some point, I started to pay my part of the bill, but my parents kept me on their policy until I got married at 20. Because my husband already had a great insurance rate, I was just added to his plan. I’ve never shopped around for auto insurance rates but I love saving money so it seems like the time to start!
I recently had the opportunity to see just how easy it is to compare auto insurance rates with AutoInsurance.com.
If you are in Texas, Arkansas, Oklahoma, Missouri, Louisiana, Tennessee or Mississippi you can compare quotes through AutoInsurance.com
First start by entering your zip code on the landing page. Hit ‘compare now.’ The next page will ask you to enter your personal information.
After you hit enter AutoInsurance.com will process your details!
Then you’ll be asked for more particulars – the kind of coverage you want, the car you drive, if you’ve had accidents. Nothing too crazy! After that, it’s time to see your quotes directly from top carriers! You can purchase directly through the site or via phone. There is no obligation to purchase a policy and there is no cost associated with searching and comparing quotes.
Even with clicking all the info buttons to figure out what each term meant, I was able to get my quote in under 30 minutes. I think I may have found a better deal, but I need to chat with my husband to know for sure.
I don’t think my parents did me any favors by doing all the legwork for me. My oldest child is 6 years from getting his driver’s license, but he won’t have the same experience I did. He will be responsible for comparing auto insurance rates and finding the best deal.
When did you last compare auto insurance rates?

Too bad my state isn’t listed, I’d love to see if I can get a lower rate without all the hassle.

I should probably do this. I’ve had the same auto insurance since I was a teen!

I think I am paying too much for my current coverage. I really need to shop around for both car & home. I’ve been with the same one for about a decade and the rates keep going up despite not making claims.

I need to search for lower auto rate, my teens are driving now and our rates have skyrocketed! It can’t hurt to shop around.

I drive a Civic now! It was the first new care I ever purchased. I keep thinking it’s time for another car but it’s doing just fine so I can’t justify it! #client
