I have been trying to feed my family healthier options by making my own bread, cooking from scratch, using organic foods, etc. I really need all the help I can get!! Once I started switching to healthier foods, I was bombarded with words that confused me and too many choices. I didn’t know what to make of everything.
I was sent Unjunk Your Junk Food to review. The book is written by Andrea Donsky and Randy Boyer with Lisa Tsakos.
Talk about a HELPFUL book! Where was this when I started my quest to feed my family better foods?!
What I LOVE:
- The size of the book. It’s not huge or heavy. It’s easy to take with me anywhere I go (even the grocery store)!
- It’s got great little “fun facts” and tips, which are awesome!
- It’s an easy read – and there are definitions throughout the book.
- I love that the book shows the nutrition facts for the “bad” and “good” choices.
What I would change:
- I’d love to see other foods (meats, cheeses, etc) covered … maybe that’s their next book!
You can connect with Naturally Savvy on facebook and twitter. You can purchase Unjunk Your Junk Food at BN.com and Amazon.
I’d like to see how my made-from-scratch cookies compare to the Naturally Savvy Approved choice.
What two items would you compare?
**Full Disclosure: I was sent the book for review purposes. I did not receive monetary compensation for this post. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
