**Full Disclosure: I received ‘Bible in a Year’ for review purposes. No other compensation was exchanged. All opinions are mine.
We don’t have as much dedicated family Bible time as I’d like but it’s my intention to change that with the upcoming new year. I think the ‘Bible in a Year’ is the perfect way to get my family to sit down, read and learn on a nightly basis. My goal is to open the Bible every night while we eat dinner.
About ‘Bible in a Year’:
The unique Bible in a Year with New Century Version® text guides kids to easily read through the entire Bible in 365 days. The simple-to-understand language is divided into daily portions that include selections from both the Old and New Testaments, as well as Psalms and Proverbs.
This Bible also offers 16 pages of color inserts that allow for personalization and reinforce biblical knowledge. Features include: presentation page, Bible timeline, My Favorite Bible Verses, How Do I Pray?, Why Should I Read the Bible?, How Do I Forgive?, Bible Verses to Know, and more!
The NCV Bible in a Year is meant for kids 8-12 and includes personalization pages, maps, memory verses, dictionary/concordance, and special articles for Bible application. I know I am no longer under 12 years of age, but I like when the Bible I am reading is written in easy-to-read vocabulary – especially when I am reading with my kids. While this Bible is meant for kids, I think it makes for a great family resource.
One thing to note, though, is that this is not your typical Bible. It is not divided by the books of the Bible – it’s divided by date. Each day, you’ll read a portion from the Old Testament, from Psalms, from Proverbs and from the New Testament.
