As you probably know my family and I live in South Texas, a place where it’s almost always HOT and sunny. Going outdoors without sunscreen is not something that happens often around here. My family and I love geocaching, swimming and just playing outside. All of those things require being outside in the sun. I know that the sun is good for us – it provides us with Vitamin D. But, I am also aware of the dangers and damage the sun can cause. My oldest son and I rarely burn. My youngest son and husband, however, turn red if they even think about going out!
Last weekend we were going to an outdoor luncheon with our Sunday School class. We smeared on the Beyond Coastal sunscreen before we left the house. The directions say that you should apply the product 30 minutes before you head out.

I was sent a package that included Natural Sunscreen Kids 30+, Natural Clear Sunscreen 30+, Active Sunscreen 30+, Active Face Stick Sunscreen SPF 30 and Citrus Grove Lip Balm SPF 15. I really enjoyed all of them, but James and I had the same FAVORITE – the Face Stick. It’s so easy to grab and apply. Colin is a lip balm-oholic, so it’s no surprise that his favorite was the lip balm.
What I Liked:
- I loved that the sunscreen is thick & creamy, but rubs in with no problems.
- My face, lips and body didn’t feel oily & greasy (something that happens after applying other sunscreens).
- My kid(s) didn’t even turn the slightest bit of pink (which the youngest usually does – even after sunscreen application).
- I LOVE that it’s a natural sunscreen!
What I’d Change:
- I’d like to see bulk packaging! (Come on – we live in Texas – we could QUICKLY go through 4oz.!)
