**Full Disclosure: This is a compensated post. All opinions are my own.
Do your kids have trouble with their behavior from time to time? Mine do! Now don’t get me wrong, my kids are usually pretty good, but they have moments where their behavior is less than ideal.
In its most simple form, Bear on the Chair is a behavior buddy. It was invented by 7-year-old Symonne Harrison. Bear on the Chair is not just a teddy bear, though. It helps manage a child’s behavior year round through the smile and frown behavioral patch system on the bear’s shirt.
Children connect with the bear and want to keep it happy and smiling. When a youngster is listening and obeying, sharing with siblings, eating healthy foods, helping Mommy and Daddy without complaining, the bear sports the happy face. But when the kiddo is in the troughs of a tantrum, not eating veggies, not sharing, giving attitude, you name it, the parents can discreetly switch the patch to the sad face.
This kickstarter will fund several key milestones: a portion of our first manufacturing order for 2,000 units to include the bear, chair, shirt, patches, copyrighted BOTC story and retail packaging!
What are the risks?
Potential risks and challenges to the product are delays in timing of product components being created and assembled overseas. Since all products are manufactured overseas, they are shipped by boat, which takes approximately 30 days to arrive. However, there is always a potential to arrive sooner or later.
Our product fulfillment date already takes into consideration these risks. We have built in several weeks of contingency to allow for the fulfillment of orders. We are confident we will sell all 2,000 bears from our first production run.
