I have been told, over the last week or so, that I am ‘inspiring.’
While it makes me feel so good to know that people think of me in that way, I want to clarify that what some might find inspiring is just accountability on my end. If I don’t hold myself accountable through pictures of my food and pedometer, I am likely to slack off and fail. Failing is not an option for me. My end goal is to lose 100 pounds. I know that won’t happen before the #iHeartOmron challenge is over, but what I learn now will teach me new habits to keep me on track later. As of today, I’ve lost 3 pounds in this challenge! (And about 15 since I started walking last August.)
Like I said, I am honored to be considered inspirational. Just don’t forget to take that inspiration and turn it into perspiration! (Gross, I know, sorry!!) Hold yourself accountable for the things you want and the goals you have!
As we head into the third week, I am really excited to increase the steps I see on my Omron 323-U pedometer!
Some things that worked for me:
- Having prepared lunches has continued to be ideal!
- The workouts were good. But this week we are starting a new workout plan, so hopefully it will go well!
Some things I need to get better at:
- Getting all my steps in. My goal is 10K steps EVERY day. Last week went well (with the exception of Saturday, where I SAT at a conference all day). I just have to keep it up!
- Eating less carbs. They are my weakness.
This week’s numbers (with the help of my husband):
- Application Weight (this was December, I believe) – 219
- Weight – 216.0
- Waist – 47
- Hips – 47.5
- Arms – 16 1/2 (L), 16 1/4 (R)
- Thighs – 27 (L), 28 (R)
- Chest – 39
- Bust – 45
Total weight loss (SO FAR): 3.0 lbs.
I can’t wait to see what next week’s numbers bring!
I participated in the Graffiti Run on Sunday, and it was awesome!! I walked the 5k with two friends and we had a BLAST!!
Which 5k would you love to participate in?
