My kids are totally into shows and movies that have animals for characters! We all love how funny the animals are and enjoy watching as a family.
Netflix has a wide variety of animal-inspired titles so I wanted to highlight some of our favorites.

We decided to watch The Adventures of Puss in Boots last weekend. My husband and I had seen it, but the boys hadn’t. It was fun to watch the movie again – this time through the eyes of my kids.
I wanted to serve a special treat with our popcorn & movie, but what? I don’t have a huge selection of cookie cutters, so I pulled out Mickey Mouse and made mini cakes. They were SUPER cute, see?
And so delicious!
What are some of your favorite animal-inspired movies?
Milo and Otis is on Netflix now? That was my FAVORITE movie when I was a kid. I’m gonna play that movie with the girls tonight. They’re gonna die from cuteness.
The little cakes turned out cute! I haven’t seen Puss in Boots yet, which is funny since he was my favorite character in the Shrek movies. I used to have a poster of him in my room doing the puppy dog eyes.
We LOVE Milo & Otis. I still cry every time. What was the name of that movie about the two dogs and the cat that get left behind when the family moves… and they like walk all the way across the state or something to find their family? ARGH I can not think of the name of it now! It was a golden retriever and an american bull dog… gah that is going to drive me nuts. Something like… The Great Adventure or… ugh that isnt it. What is it!?
I know exactly what you are talking about … isn’t it ‘Homeward Bound’?
I have never seen any of those movies. Puss N Boots would be so fun to watch.
