Have you ever been somewhere with just your smartphone to capture memories and pictures of some great experience? It happens to me all the time. And, while I LOVE my smartphone, the pictures are less than perfect.
Just last weekend we were at Sea World for the Imagination Movers concert. I had every intention of bringing my “big camera” (DSLR) to capture great shots, but then I went and forgot it. I was left with just my phone to get the pictures I wanted. Unfortunately, they turned out blurry and not very usable. Don’t get me wrong, my phone is great in a pinch, but I won’t be framing any of those photos.

Because I am the mom behind the camera, a new DSLR would make an AMAZING Mother’s Day gift for me (hint, hint, honey!). My husband loves his digital photo frame; he has it on his desk at work and we update the photos every 6 months or so! The digital frame would also make a spectacular gift for Grandparent’s Day.

I hope you get the Mother’s Day gift you’re looking for! I’m always drooling over new cameras, but I can’t justify one yet!

Oh it won’t be this year. Mine works perfectly fine. Maybe I can talk the hubs into it next year! 😉

I would love a DSLR, one day I hope! I have always wanted a digi frame as well.

The digital frames are AWESOME! I adore my DSLR, but I am so ready for an upgrade!

Just think of it this way, a DSLR is a blog expense and will help with taxes! It definitely makes a huge difference in photos but you an do a lot of great photography with a camera phone with a little practice. If you search there a lot of tutorials on it too!

So true! I have a DSLR, but it’s 6 years old and it’s time to start thinking about an upgrade! Thanks!
