I think I do a good job of taking care of myself. I go to the dentist and doctor as often as necessary, I spend time with my friends, I take time to just be by myself and I forgive myself when I do something stupid. But I’ve been seeing a lot about self-care in my Facebook feed and it had me thinking – do other women take care of themselves, too? One easy way to take care of yourself is with this DIY Lavender Lemon Foot Soak.
DIY Lavender Lemon Foot Soak –
What you need:
- 1 C. Epsom salts
- ¼ C. Lavender buds
- 1 tsp. Lemon Extract
Directions:
- Put lavender buds in a bowl.
- Using the back of a wooden spoon, press the buds against the bowl to release the fragrance.
- Add epsom salts and lemon extract, combine well.
- Pour into a container with tight-fitting lid.
How to use:
- Add a few scoops to warm foot bath.
- Enjoy!
DIY Lavender Lemon Foot Soak is easy to throw together and it smells good, too! This foot scrub would also make a great gift. Simply pour it in a mason jar with a lid, tie a bow around the jar and add a name tag. It would be perfect for teacher appreciation week, a friend’s birthday, etc.

Can I ask a silly question since I’ve never used a foot soak? What does it do for your feet?
Sara Phillips says
Of course! The Epsom salt can help flush toxins and heavy metals from your skin’s cells, reduce inflammation, increase circulation and ease muscle cramps. The lavender is good for sore joints, too.
