I will be the first to admit that I’m a horrible housekeeper. I don’t love to clean house but I sure do enjoy it when I have a clean house. Because there are only a few things I do well – dishes, laundry & vacuuming – taking time to deep clean the entire house is a must. If I could, I’d hire a full-time maid! That’s out of the question, though, so I’ve had to find other ways to clean.
So how does a horrible housekeeper Spring Clean? With some must-have items, of course!
12 Must-Have Items for Cleaning:
- Cleaners –
- Glass Cleaner
- Multi-Surface Cleaner
- Toilet Bowl Cleaner
- Paper Essentials purchased at Walmart –
- Viva® Big Roll Paper Towels – Viva® offers 2 types of towels that are strong & durable like cloth and clean more than just spills!
- Cottonelle® Toilet Paper Double Rolls – has CleanRipple Texture, which is designed to clean better than the leading national value brand.
- Scott® 1000 Bath Tissue – bathroom tissue that gives you the quality, performance and long-lasting value you want in 1,000 sheets.
- Rubber gloves – Washing your hands after you use a cleaner can torture your skin. Use the rubber gloves to keep your hands clean & dry.
- Sponge(s)
- Trash bags – Get rid of your junk!
- Broom
- Mop
- Vacuum
With these must-have items, Spring Cleaning is only a little harder than hiring a maid!
When you get started, take it room by room. Don’t let yourself get overwhelmed with the cleaning process because that leads to what I like to call ‘anxiety-induced freezing.’ If that happens, you’ll just sit there and look at all you have to do instead of crossing it off your to-do list. Trust me!
After every room in your house has been cleaned, you’ll feel so good about your home!
