**Full Disclosure: I test-drove the 2015 Kia Soul! for seven days for review purposes thanks to Drive STI. No compensation was received. All opinions are my own.
Based on looks alone, I’ve never been very fond of the Kia Soul!. Its bright colors always caught my attention but I didn’t like the boxy shape of the car.
Last week, I was given the opportunity to drive the 2015 Kia Soul!. I couldn’t say no because I enjoy experiencing new vehicles and discovering all they have to offer – even if I don’t love their shape.
I was surprised by how nimble and easy to maneuver the Kia Soul! was. The interior was far more spacious than I’d pictured, too. As you’d probably expect, the trunk isn’t huge but it held my grocery bags with no issues. I can’t imagine loading up this little car for a family road trip but I didn’t try either.
The Kia Soul! had some of my favorite features – heated & cooled seats, heated steering wheel, push-start engine, key less doors and the room light feature.
I’ve never seen a ‘room light’ button in a vehicle but after I figured out what it did, I was sold! Hit that button, and all the little lights around the car will turn on. It was so neat!
I don’t think I’ve completely given in to the key less cars until I had the Kia Soul! I put the key fob in my purse and never removed it. All I had to do was get close to the door (with my purse), and hit that black button on the handle (driver or passenger side!) to lock and unlock the vehicle. Once inside, I only had to push the button to start the car. SUCH a cool feature!
The heated & cooled seats and heated steering wheel are pretty self-explanatory but I just love having that extra temperature boost to help me adjust to the exterior temperature.
