You should know that winter tires are only necessary in places that have snow. If you live in South Texas or Florida, you probably don’t need to worry with picking winter tires.
How do you know if you need winter tires?
- Do you live in a place that gets snow and ice? You need winter tires.
- Does your vehicle have four wheel or all-wheel drive? You still need winter tires!
How to pick winter tires:
- Know what size tires your car requires during the summer months.
- Decide if you want all-season tires or dedicated snow tires.
- Purchase 4 matching tires for your vehicle and replace them at the same time.
- Steel or Alloy?
Did you know? According to most states’ laws, tires are legally worn out when they have worn down to 2/32″ of remaining tread depth. Make sure you are ready to replace your tires, sun or snow, when the tread is low!
