It may still be summer, but Fall is quickly approaching. And we all know what comes after that. Winter driving tips are important for everyone because you never know when you’ll need to utilize them. Most of these tips come from my husband, originally from Washington State.
Winter Driving Tips:
- Check the weather.
- Keep your gas tank full.
- Keep your tires properly inflated.
- Check the tire tread.
- Don’t use the cruise control.
- Buckle up!
- Keep an emergency kit in the car.
Whether your winter weather is snowy, wet, warm or chilly, always drive carefully!

These are great tips. I refuse to drive if there’s a drop of snow on the ground, so in the winter I make my husband do all the driving.

I never think to check the tread on my tires in the winter. Thanks for the great tips!

Living in a place where we rarely have weather makes it funny when we do. People freak out if it rains! I think the whole state needs to see these.

Here in Boston, we are winter driving pros. I love your entire list, but I would add snacks. Sometimes there is a LOT of traffic in the snow, and you should have snacks to tide you over. Well, at least in my case LOL.
