When Sara asked me if I wanted to try out the Baby K’Tan Carrier with my daughter I said yes right away. Any chance to have some hands-free time while I’m holding a fussy baby is greatly appreciated!
Over the years I’ve owned a few different baby carriers, and I’ve seen a lot of other carriers used by friends and family members. With six young kids, I feel like I’ve tried every way to safely carry my babies. My experience has always been that a carrier is good for about an hour before it starts to hurt my back.
The Baby K’Tan worked wonderfully for an hour, and then my back did start to get a little sore. My daughter was almost year when we first started using the K’Tan ,and I was a little worried that she might be a little big, but the wonderful thing about the Baby K’Tan is that there are a lot of variations to try, and I could easily use a lot of the options on my daughter.
My favorite options were front facing and the side position. These positions allowed my daughter to see everything that was going on around her and that kept her very happy!
By far my favorite part of this carrier was the fact that I could get my daughter all set up without any help from my husband. One of my biggest complaints about other carriers is that I always needed someone else to help me adjust straps or buckles on my back. The Baby K’Tan was definitely the most mom friendly carrier I’ve tried.
The only thing I wished was different was that it really is for a single user. The one I have fits me perfectly, but it’s way too small for my husband to use. So, if you wanted one for you and your husband to use, you’d have to buy two!

i have not tried or heard of this. my sister just had a baby recently so i will see if she is interested in giving it a try. i don’t think she has a carrier right now either.
We love my K’tan and my sister even scooped one up and loves hers, too!
I need to pull it back out for a hip carry now that B can hold her head up. I think she would really like it!
