If you walked through my house, the first thing (I hope) you’d notice is my Americana theme. I just love the red, white and blue stuff! This is my favorite nick-nack – he is right on the mantle and made of paper mache. Isn’t he cute?!
You will ALWAYS see toys on my kitchen table. It is a fight to get the boys to put them away in time for dinner, but somehow, it happens!
You will find at family photos! This is one of my favorites – it was taken at our reception in Walla Walla, WA. (We practically eloped so we had 2 receptions – someday I’ll share that story!)
CHEESE!! It’s a good, healthy snack! You will always find Tillamook in our fridge!
Coke! My vice.
I’m participating in a Get To Know Me blog hop with MomDot. If you want to join in click here.
Tell me, what would I learn about you if I walked through your house?
1. The “Fat Chef” themed items should indicate I like cooking. (that, plus all the appliances…LOL)
2. The wine theme in the dining room, plus the oversized Italian cafe print should be a dead giveaway that an italian lives in the house
3. The firefighting prints in the living room, and the firefighting books on the coffee table, would indicate interest in firefighting (J’s dad was a firefighter for 50 years)
4. All the military books and prints would give away that we’re military buffs (I’m a Navy brat, with an interest in Vietnam, and J is a WWII buff)
5. The vast DVD/Blu-Ray collection would indicate we LOVE movies
6. The book collections would indicate we have more books that Barnes & Noble (and that we LOVE reading)
7. We’re both technology geeks, so the house is loaded with all kinds of technology
8. Oh, and you’d know we have a cat. 🙂
you and i would be friends!! I have to have cheese and coke too
trisha
You’d see my Diet Coke and about a billion scrapbooking supplies! I also have oodles of books!
So, you live in Washington State, eh? I have a lot of family there and will, in fact, be visiting my cousin in October in Puyallup. I always enjoy a little Tillamook when I’m there. It’s good stuff. I’m from Wisconsin so I know cheese! 😉 Love the little flag waving guy. Cute. And speaking of cute… very nice picture. This is certainly fun! Thanks for sharing!
No – the hubs is from Washington. His Mom and sister still live there, but we are in Texas (where I grew up)! I love a good cheese curd! Enjoy your vacation – and your Tillamook!
I love that photo of you two! Great post!
Oh the cheese is making me drool a little – we recently visited Oregon and drove through Tillamook! So glad to get to know you more 🙂
We’ve been to the Tillamook factory – I can’t WAIT to go back!!! I found those singles at Sam’s Club. But I can buy bricks at our local grocery store (HEB). I hope you find some in your area!
I MISS COKE!!!!!!
That’s a cute little paper mache guy. I would have never guessed he was made of paper.
don’t worry, there are plenty of toys (and other things) on my table!
That little paper mache guy is so cute!!
OMG I should have posted a pic of coke in mine. It’s the end of the world if we run out at this house.
I finished my last one tonight … so it’s on the grocery list. I’ll have to make it to Sonic’s happy hour if I need one too bad between now and then! 😀
You had me at ‘Coke’…
Hubby LOVES Coke – he would be very happy in your house. We don’t have that anymore. We drink lots of water and the occasional soda from our Soda Stream maker. But whenever we go out, he orders the “real” stuff!
I do love your little paper mache American themed boy! I don’t blame you for him being your favorite. I’m a big cheese fan myself and there are some funny stories floating around my family about my addiction. 🙂
My house is full of Americana stuff too! I was born on the 4th of July and I love to think im a patriotic gal! 🙂 I have to have cokes and cheese too. Love the pic of you and hubby!
My husband served and he is not nearly as patriotic as I am! LOL!
I LOVE THAT PICTURE OF YOU GUYS! 🙂
Thank you! 🙂
1. I’m afraid of color, everything is neutral. 2. I hate clutter, there isn’t a nick-nack I can bare to keep (doesn’t stop me from buying them though). 3. My kids are distructive, as evident in the sharpie portrait of a cat on my banister, the tootsie roll stain on my white canvas chair, and the several light switches missing twisty knobs. 4. We love to teach our kids scripture, you’ll find two verses written in window crayon on our kitchen patio door. 5. I homeschool, my second living room looks like a classroom!
Mmmm, I love me some cheese! Your photo is so pretty and I like your little Americana dude!
Coke is my vice too! {Diet for me though.} Definitely want to hear the story of the two receptions!
Love the red, white, & blue theme and the paper mache guy is adorable!
My table usually looks like that too. You’d think I ran a daycare center or had more than two kids from the way their stuff has taken over our house.
I love the little American guy he is so cute!
mmm cheese! We always have cheese in our house too!
Love the photo of you too and the little guy. He’s adorable!
I’m a cheese and Coke girl too! We practically eloped too. We’ll have to swap stories sometime!
LOVE the little boy with the flag! He is adorable!
I’m a family picture kinda person too!
LOVE cheese. I can’t believe I didn’t think of that one. Though I haven’t actually posted mine yet. 🙂 That is such an adorable photo of you and your husband. Photos are the best way to remember the good things in life.
Love your americana boy! He is just adorable
