**Full Disclosure: I’ve partnered with HP and Meghan Trainor to highlight the HP x360. All opinions are my own. I am no doctor, but I don’t suggest these peanut butter uses for those with peanut allergies.
I have four people living in my house – myself, my husband and our two boys – and we have four cats (I know, I know, we are crazy cat people!). All kinds of things come in fours – seasons, directions, suits of cards, tires on cars, chairs legs, original Starburst flavors, lucky clovers, and modes to the HP x360.
4 Modes of the HP Pavillion x360 – Laptop, Tablet, Tent and Stand
I really like all four modes, but of them tent mode is my favorite because I can angle the HP x360 just so and play or work from the comfort of my bed!
Because I was inspired by the number FOUR and the HP x360, I wanted to share 4 unexpected ways to use (creamy) peanut butter – so here goes!
4 Unexpected Ways to Use Peanut Butter:
- As shaving cream!
You’re mid-shave and run out of shaving cream, what are you going to do? Grab the peanut butter, seriously! Mix a glob of peanut butter with a bit of water and then apply it to your skin. Shave like normal and rinse well.
- As a gum remover – for hair!
Have you ever stepped in gum, unknowingly sat in it or gotten it in your hair? It’s the worst, am I right? But just a little peanut butter can remove gum from your shoe, hair or clothes. To get gum out of your hair, simply apply peanut butter to the affected area and use a comb to work the peanut butter into the gum. After the gum has dissolved, wash your hair.
- As a car cleaner!
Every time I go on vacation, I come home with my windshield and car covered in bug guts. It’s so gross! But bug guts don’t come off very easily. Next time, I am going to try to use peanut butter to get the bugs off the body of my car. It’s easy-peasy – just apply the peanut butter to the bug-covered spots, let it sit for about 10 minutes, wipe it off and wash with soap and water. (Don’t use it on your windshield or windows because the oils will make it extremely difficult to remove.)
- As a hair moisturizer!
WHAT?! Yep, you shampoo your hair like usual and then massage about 3 TBSP creamy peanut butter into your hands and onto tips of your hair (avoid the scalp!) for a great conditioning treatment. Allow the peanut butter to soak into your hair for a bit and then use warm water to completely remove it. (You don’t want any peanut butter residue, but there’s no need to re-wash or condition after the PB treatment.)
Which mode (or use) your favorite?

As shaving cream? I would have never seen that one coming! I love learning quirky things like this and I also love that computer!
Michelle says
That is so cool that you can use the computer in so many modes! I’m unfortunately able to confirm that PB does work in getting gum out of hair from personal experience.
Jennifer @ Mom Spotted says
I heard about the gum in hair but that’s it. I can’t imagine trying to shave my legs with peanut butter though. At least once you’re there you can use it on your hair too!

I love that computer! I have used peanut butter to get gum out…but I never thought to use it as a shaving cream or hair moisturizer!!
Robin Gagnon says
I never would have thought to clean my windshield with PB. Love the flexibility of that HP too.

As a shaving cream? I would love to see my husband do that!
Krystyn @ Really, Are You Serious? says
Okay, the only one I would have even known about is the gum in the hair. I think I’d find something else to shave with!
Liz Mays says
I use the stand mode for my tablet all the time, so that’s what I’d use with this one too. Also, WHAT? PB removes bug gook? Love it!
Crystal says
I’ve heard that peanut butter removes gum, but the other uses are new to me. I always have some on hand, so I’ll keep these tricks in mind.
Terra Heck says
Wow, I’ve heard of using peanut butter for gum removal but not for those other three. Will definitely have to keep that in mind for future reference when I want to moisturize my hair or get rid of bug guts from my windshield.
Cindy @MomMaven says
I’ve used peanut butter as a gum remover before. Personally I like it on a spoon with chocolate chips sprinkled on top!
Avry says
I would worry I would want to suck on my hair all day because it would smell like peanut butter 😉 Crazy tricks! I never would have guessed.
Paula @ Frosted Fingers says
I don’t know if I could use it in my hair! If I did, though, I would smell like a peanut butter and jelly sandwich since I have grape shampoo!
