**Full Disclosure: I attended a media event to sample menu items at the 3 Double-O Nine. All opinions are my own.
Dining out is something I enjoy. I am a pretty picky eater, so I don’t always try new things but I’ve been trying to get better at it. Earlier this week, I was asked to visit 3009 (3 Double-O Nine) and sample some of their menu items.
During the four-course sampling, I tried: Green Chili Mac & Cheese Balls, Fried Green Tomatoes, Korean Fried Chicken, Creole Shrimp and Grits, Marble Fudge Brownie a la Mode and Texas Pecan Bread Pudding. Each was delicious – even if you don’t eat seafood!
About 3 Double-O Nine:

3 Double-O Nine focuses on highlighting all things local – everything from the meats to the beer. You’ll also find they have 12 Texas beers on tap, many of which are brewed in San Antonio.
The restaurant offers indoor and outdoor dining as well as a completely enclosed green space for kids to run and play.
3 Double-O Nine will be open 7 days a week. Monday – Thursday 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. | Friday – Saturday 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. | Sunday 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. Additionally, they will serve brunch on Sundays from 10-2. It’ll include Eggs Benedict with house-smoked salmon or brisket – served traditional or southern style, French toast and fruit, and a breakfast sandwich with sausage and bacon served open-faced on focaccia; as well as Korean Fried Chicken and Waffles.
Join 3 Double-O Nine for their grand opening on April 17. They are located at 17460 IH-35 N., Schertz, Texas (inside HEB).

I’d choose the beer sampler. And then maybe the Green Chile Mac & Cheese. I mean that’s a toss up, I’d try it but it could go either way. So I’m curious to see which way. We don’t have this place in Orlando so I’d love to check it out. Restaurants that are not in Orlando fascinate me.

Dessert is my weakness, so that is calling to me. But everything looks delicious! I appreciate that’s it’s got some flair to its menu. I get tired of the same offerings over and over.
