**Full Disclosure: As a member of the Stream Team, I was provided a Netflix subscription and promotional items. All opinions are my own.
I adore Christmas movies. Netflix has so many to choose from! I wanted to share a few of my favorites so I’ve compiled this list.
13 Christmas Movies on Netflix:
- Christmas with the Kranks –
- Finally alone for the holidays, Luther (Tim Allen) and Nora Krank (Jamie Lee Curtis) plan to eschew the Christmas traditions and take a cruise in the Caribbean instead. This doesn’t sit well with their Christmas-obsessed neighbors and the Kranks soon find themselves social outcasts because of their lack of Christmas spirit.
- The Nightmare Before Christmas –
- Follow the misadventures of Jack Skellington, Halloweentown’s beloved pumpkin king, who has become bored with the same annual routine of frightening people in the “real world.” When Jack accidentally stumbles on Christmastown, all bright colors and warm spirits, he gets a new lease on life — he plots to bring Christmas under his control by kidnapping Santa Claus and taking over the role. But Jack soon discovers even the best-laid plans of mice and skeleton men can go seriously awry.
- 12 Dates of Christmas –
- A woman (Amy Smart) magically experiences Christmas Eve over and over again.
- I’ll Be Home for Christmas –
- Estranged from his father (Gary Cole), college student Jake (Jonathan Taylor Thomas) is lured home to New York for Christmas with the promise of receiving a classic Porsche as a gift. When the bullying football team dumps him in the desert in a Santa suit, Jake is left without identification or money to help him make the journey. Meanwhile, his girlfriend, Allie (Jessica Biel), does not know where he is, and accepts a cross-country ride from Jake’s rival, Eddie (Adam LaVorgna).
- The Heart of Christmas –
- Megan (Candace Cameron Bure) re-examines her priorities after she sees people decorating for Christmas in October to help a family celebrate Christmas with their dying son.
- Christmas Bounty –
- An ABC Family “25 Days of Christmas” movie that premiered in 2013 and stars Francia Raisa of “Secret Life of the American Teenager” and professional wrestler Mike “The Miz” Mizanin. It’s about a former bounty hunter who tries to hide her past (and her ex) from her new fiancé.
- All I Want for Christmas –
- When all her son, Jesse, wants for Christmas is a new father, Sarah half-heartedly agrees to to go out with several men.
- Mickey’s Once Upon a Christmas –
- Mickey and his friends tell three stories including “A Very Goofy Christmas” and “Mickey and Minnie’s Gift of the Magi.”
- Bad Santa –
- Crotchety Willie T. Stokes (Billy Bob Thornton) and his partner (Tony Cox) reunite once a year for a holiday con. Posing as a mall Santa and his elf, they rip off shopping outlets on Christmas Eve.
- Santa Paws –
- A talking dog and an orphan (Kaitlyn Maher) must save Christmas after old Saint Nick (Richard Riehle) loses his memory.
- The Holiday Engagement –
- A woman (Bonnie Somerville) hires a man (Jordan Bridges) to pose as her fiance when she returns home for the holidays.
- Holidaze –
- A corporate workaholic wakes up in an alternate universe, married to her childhood sweetheart.
- Santa Buddies –
- Budderball, B-Dawg, Rosebud, Buddha, and Mudbud help Puppy Paws, the feisty son of Santa Paws, to remember the true meaning of Christmas.
Of course, in addition to the Christmas movies, there are other perks to having Netflix! You can watch anywhere — by the fire on the big screen or at the breakfast table on a tablet. Then you can create a customized profile for each family member. And it’s so incredibly easy to set up that a five year old could do it!
