**Full Disclosure: I test-drove the 2018 Chevy Cruze Diesel for review purposes. No compensation was received & all opinions are my own.
When James told me he wanted to go to Beaumont, TX for Spring Break (to do some Hurricane Harvey rebuilding), I was was all for it! The fact that he wanted to spend his week off doing something for others made me proud. But with no set plans, Colin and I decided it would be fun to spend time with my sister & niece for a few days. Chevy loaned us the 2018 Chevy Cruze Diesel for our trip and it couldn’t have been better. A few days before our trip, Colin and I made a list of the top 10 things to do in Dallas for Spring Break.

Of course, we didn’t have time to do everything on our list but all of the top 10 things to do for Spring Break in Dallas come highly recommended. Colin really wanted to visit Medieval Times and I wanted to check out the Texas Tulip Farm so those were the two biggies we made plans for since I didn’t want to over-book our time with my sister & niece. I also wanted to make sure to allow time for catching up with my friend Debra (FindingDebra.com) and buying desserts from Sweetface Bakery.
The 2018 Chevy Cruze Hatch Diesel was simple to drive and was rather spacious for a hatchback. It easily fit four people with plenty of leg room for each of us – granted, two of us aren’t very tall and the other two are children. I only had two issues with the Cruze Hatch Diesel – the USB charger under the center console didn’t charge my phone and my Android Auto was useless. All in all, the Cruze is a great little car which works well to get here and there and everywhere!
What activities would you do enjoy in Dallas?
Chevrolet recently announced their partnership with well-known data scientist and road trip guru, Randy Olson, who has calculated the most efficient road trip across Texas to visit the most well-known family-friendly attractions. He found that if you were to complete this entire Texas route – it would take you more than 15 hours to drive, and would cover more than 900 miles. It’s really neat! I mean, look at this interactive Texas map of all 10 stops.

Such a great roundup – the U.S. Bureau of Engraving and Printing has been on our to-do list forever and we still haven’t done it! Must change that!
