Cute Fall Carrot Cake with Chocolate Turkey [AD] #SweetworksAutumn

Ingredients

  • Butter for pans
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour plus some for pans
  • 2 cups sugar
  • 2 teaspoons baking soda
  • 2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 4 eggs
  • 1 1/2 cups vegetable oil
  • 2 cups grated carrots
  • 1 1/2 cups chopped pecans optional

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
  2. Grease and flour three (9-inch) round pans.
  3. In a large bowl, combine flour, sugar, baking soda, cinnamon, and salt.
  4. Add eggs and vegetable oil.
  5. Using a mixer, blend until combined.
  6. Add carrots and optional pecans.
  7. Pour evenly into pans.
  8. Bake for about 40 minutes.
  9. Remove from oven and cool for 5 minutes.
  10. Remove from pans, place on waxed paper and allow to cool completely before frosting.
  11. Frost with cream cheese frosting and decorate as desired.
  12. Serve and enjoy!
