Apple Caramel Oatmeal Cookies Recipe #FBCookieSwap

Ingredients

  • Apples:
  • 2 apples any kind, peeled and diced
  • 1 tsp butter
  • Dough:
  • 1 cup butter melted
  • 1 cup packed brown sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • dash of nutmeg
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 2 tsp vanilla
  • 1 1/2 cup flour
  • 1/3 cup caramel bits
  • 3 cups oats

Instructions

  1. Peel and dice the apples.
  2. Put them in a skillet with about a tablespoon of butter.
  3. Heat on medium-low for about 15 minutes or until they start to get soft.
  4. While the apples cook, preheat the oven to 350 and prepare your dough.
  5. Beat butter, sugar and eggs until smooth.
  6. Add cinnamon, nutmeg, salt, baking soda, vanilla, and flour. Mix until smooth.
  7. Fold in oats and caramel bits.
  8. Remove any liquid from apple skillet.
  9. Fold the apples into the batter.
  10. Bake for 13-15 minutes.
  11. Serve and enjoy!
