Kids in the Kitchen: Weeknight Skillet Lasagna with Ragú

Ingredients

  • 1 lb. lean ground beef or sausage
  • 1 jar 1 lb. 8 oz. Ragú® Old World Style® Sauce Traditional
  • 3 cups water
  • 12 uncooked lasagna noodles broken into pieces
  • 8 ounces cottage cheese 4% milkfat, large curd
  • 1/2 tsp garlic minced
  • 2 tsp dried parsley
  • 2 TBSP onion diced
  • 1 cup Monterrey Jack cheese shredded
  • 3 TBSP Parmesan cheese shredded

Instructions

  1. Brown ground beef, garlic, parsley and onion in 12-inch skillet over medium-high heat; drain.
  2. Stir in sauce and water.
  3. Bring to a boil and stir in uncooked noodles.
  4. Cook covered over medium heat, stirring frequently to separate noodles, until noodles are tender, about 20 minutes.
  5. Add cottage cheese, Monterrey Jack and Parmesan cheeses.
  6. Simmer covered until cheeses are melted, about 5 minutes.
  7. Serve and enjoy!

Recipe Notes

If you don't have a 12 inch skillet, use a large pan.
