My husband is a techy geek. As much as I want to be, I am just not. When I was given the opportunity to check out Best Buy’s Geek Squad Solution Central, I was super excited, but my husband took over!
I headed over to the Geek Squad Solution Central page and browsed through the classes they offered. I thought “Operating System Showdown” sounded fun, but the hubs thought “App-stravaganza” sounded better, so I scheduled the appointment for him. His class started at 9:15am on Saturday, February 2 and he was supposed to arrive 5 minutes early. The class only took 30 minutes of his time.

I think these new classes Best Buy offers through the Geek Squad Solution Central are a great idea. The class I went to wasn’t really a class but a sit down meeting to talk about apps with a Geek Squad Agent/Best Buy employee. The conversation was well organized to help me discover what I would want to know about apps for my device. That being said, I am a bit of a geek and didn’t need help with any of the usual stuff. But if you are new to the smart phone scene I’d highly recommend making an appointment. The person I talked with was very knowledgeable but I pushed him to his limit with one of my questions. He handled it well and went to the computer, pulled up some information and was able to answer my question. Even if they don’t know the answer they have the resources in place to quickly find one.
It is a great resource and I’d be willing to go back for another class.
