Honeywell True HEPA Tower {#Review and #Giveaway} CLOSED

Last November, my mother-in-law (MIL) was coming down for a 2-week visit and sister-in-law (SIL) would be coming a week later to stay for a week. My MIL ordered a VERY expensive air purifier from another company and it never showed up (long story, but essentially, it was sent to the wrong house). I really thought it was an unnecessary expense and that the air in our home was fine. After C’s allergist suggested we look into putting one in his room, I thought, “UGHHH … I don’t want to pay the same kind of money my MIL paid!”

We set up the Honeywell True HEPA Tower in the boys’ bedroom after moving some things around and vacuuming.

What I Loved:

It’s super simple to set up! I’m talking 5-10 minutes from opening the box to turning it on. Easy Peasy!
I noticed a difference in the air quality after about the 1st 24 hours. (It got rid of that “boy smell” and now it’s a clean smell!)
I like that it’s got lights on the top of the unit that tell me when the filters need to be changed (for both the HEPA and the pre-filter).
It’s got 3 different air-cleaning levels which is great! After the first week, we took it down from level 2 to level 1 and it’s working great like that.

What I’d Change:

The directions say it needs to have a 3-foot radius of clear space. It makes sense for what it does, but it’s inconvenient in our home. Our house doesn’t have huge rooms, so eliminating a 3-foot radius means less space for the kids to play.

Luckily, Honeywell makes a selection of air purifiers that aren’t overpriced. AND they work really well. I thought we didn’t need one, but now I am looking at getting another for the playroom!
